Frequently Asked Questions

Veelgestelde vraag 2

Did the photobooth print before and now suddenly it doesn't anymore?
First, check your printer.
The printer should display the status message 'Printer ready'.
'Ribbon out' or 'Paper out' means that the paper and ink are depleted, and you need to replace them.
With 'Paper jam', something is stuck in the printer.

Above, you will find the explanation for replacing paper and ink, follow the steps in the video.
If it's not depleted but crumpled, shifted, or otherwise not properly placed, you can fix it according to the same video and use the paper and ink already in the printer.

Done? Error message resolved?
Then try printing again. If printing still doesn't work, follow the next point in the frequently asked questions.

Due to running out of paper/ink or a paper jam, a photo may have gotten stuck in the printer queue.
We are going to remove it.

Minimize the photobooth app on the iPad and on the 'desktop' go to the app Booth Connect.
Look for the section 'printers connected'.
Underneath, there is a printer 'Hiti P52Xl'.
There is a trash can icon next to it.
Press it and confirm with 'yes'.
In the header 'printers connected', there are two icons on the right side of an arrow ... a round one and a triangle arrow.
Press the triangle arrow.
The printer will reappear in the list after a few seconds.
Scroll up, in the top left corner choose 'Restart printpix', a loading bar will appear and after a few seconds, it will be done.

Go back to Touchpix and try to print.

1. First, check if the box with the printer has power, is the plug in, is there a green light on the printer.
2. Check if the iPad is connected to the TP-Printserver wifi (go to settings > wifi on the iPad)
3. Completely close the Touchpix app (swipe the screen up and then swipe the small screen up again) and restart the Touchpix app.
4. In the Touchpix app, go to the menu in the top left corner. Then choose 'settings'. Use the arrows to go to tab '2. printer'.
5. Check if the settings are correct. The correct settings from top to bottom are: Printpix Box (right choice); Connection handling: Manual IP; Connection type: Network; Manual connection: the IP address 192.168.12.1; You can click the 'connect' button, it will then change to 'disconnect'; Printing: auto; then you get a dropdown menu where you can choose a printer, select the Sinfonia / DNP / Hiti printer; automatic paper selection is on (green). Other settings are not relevant.

These can only be sent if the photobooth is connected to a local Wi-Fi network. This network must have good coverage, be stable, and of course fast enough. Preferably connect the tablet to a local Wi-Fi network that also has a password; open networks or guest networks are often limited.

Are the emails and SMS messages still not arriving? Once the photobooth is back with us, it will be connected to the internet and all files will be sent anyway.

Veelgestelde vraag 3

The queue is the digital waiting line of files that still need to be uploaded to the online gallery. The queue contains all created images, but also the text messages and emails that have not yet been sent. The queue does not contain any print jobs. So, you cannot see anything here about how many photos have been printed (or not).
