At the Museum Volkenkunde in Leiden, they wanted to create a unique winter wonderland sensation where people can take a photo inside a snow globe. Taking a selfie with your own mobile is difficult when you're inside the snow globe and doesn't generate social media engagement for the museum.
We tackled this problem with a photo booth for the snow globe. As a visitor, you step inside the snow globe. It is specifically designed and developed for them, with its own background. Once inside the snow globe, you find a monitor stand displaying instructions and a QR code. You scan the QR code with your mobile, and then you can start the photo booth from your mobile.
You look at the photo booth for the snow globe, throw a handful of snow into the air, and your photo is taken. You can now immediately share the photo with yourself on your mobile.
In this way, you can operate the photo booth touch-free and from a distance.
