Frequently Asked Questions

The mirror's screen is no longer responding or appears to be frozen

In some situations, the touchscreen loses its calibration. You might touch the mirror in one spot, but the mirror thinks you are touching a different spot. You can fix this by restarting:

Unplug the power cord from the back of the mirror, wait 3 seconds, and plug it back in.

The mirror will restart automatically. In most cases, it will log in automatically. If it doesn't, take the keyboard (note: turn on the keyboard using the switch) and type the password (vintage1 / vintage2 / vintage3). You can find the correct serial number on the sticker on the top/back of the photobooth.

Give it 2 minutes to allow the touch to initialize properly.

On the desktop, start the 'Touchpix' app and make it full screen.

Done!

The photobooth indicates that there is no connection to the camera, or when taking the photo, a loading icon remains on the screen.

The software indicates that there is no connection to the camera and asks if you want to connect. Confirm this.
If you are asked whether you want to connect via wifi or USB, choose USB.

Still unable to connect? Then open the door at the back.
At the top, you will see the camera; gently press the shutter button. Do not press it all the way down, just press it lightly so the camera responds. Now you can try to connect again in the software.

The photobooth/computer has restarted and I need to log in

If the power has been out, it is possible that the computer inside has restarted. You will then need to log in again. The password is the model of the selfie mirror + the serial number. On the support stickers on your photobooth, you can see which model and number you have in the top right corner. If it says 'RETRO 1', your password is 'retro1'. The passwords are always lowercase letters and contain no spaces!

You enter the password using the keyboard, which is located inside the selfie mirror (open the door at the back) or in a gray crate we have left behind. Please note that the keyboards have a switch to turn them on.

After logging in, the photobooth app will usually start automatically.
If this is not the case, open the 'Touchpix' app from the dock/menu.

If the app does not start in full screen, you can make it full screen by clicking the green icon in the top left corner.

The screen of the mirror has turned black / I no longer see an image on the mirror

Behind the mirror plate, a TV is mounted as a monitor.
This has the characteristic that it turns off after a few hours.
If you touch the mirror, everything often works just fine, photos are taken, and they are also printed, but you can't see anything anymore because the TV has turned off.
Turning on the TV is the simple solution: open the door at the back of the mirror, you will see stickers inside that explain how to do this and guide you to the ON button.

My pictures are too dark or too light

The photobooth has a flash. This provides the lighting for your photos. By increasing the flash intensity, your photos will become lighter. By decreasing the flash intensity, your photos will become darker.

On the back, you will see a small window displaying a value; this is the flash intensity. Below it are up/down arrows. Adjust the value in the correct direction. You often only see a difference after clicking 3-5 times.

Have you reached the maximum values and your photo is still not good enough? Please call our support number: (+31)(0)88-8580888. We can then help you adjust the camera settings.
